Privacy Policy for DramaRush

Welcome to DramaRush (package name: com.dramarush.shortdrama). This Privacy Policy explains how DramaRush ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our launcher and short drama content services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide, maintain, improve, and monetize the App.

2.1 Device, Usage, and Diagnostic Information

We and our service providers may collect the following types of information:

Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, network connection type, and approximate region inferred from technical signals such as IP address.
Identifiers, such as advertising identifiers where permitted by your device settings and applicable law, and app-generated pseudonymous identifiers (anonymous, install, and session identifiers) that are randomly created by the App. These app-generated identifiers are not derived from hardware identifiers such as IMEI, MAC address, or Android ID, and are reset when you clear the App's data or reinstall the App. We may also use these app-generated identifiers to issue short-lived access tokens that help authenticate App requests to our servers, limit abuse, and protect content APIs.
Usage information, such as screens viewed, drama content viewed, playback interactions, search actions, feature usage, ad interactions, and app performance events.
Diagnostic information, such as performance events and technical diagnostics that may be reported by the App or its service providers where available.

This information is used to provide app functionality, improve stability and performance, understand feature usage, deliver and measure ads, and support content recommendations.

2.2 Installed Applications and Launcher Data

To provide launcher features, DramaRush accesses a limited set of application-related information on your device.

A. Application Visibility

We use Android's standard package visibility mechanism to discover only apps needed for launcher functionality:

Launchable Applications: Apps that can be shown in the home screen and app drawer.
Home Applications: Available home apps used to check and manage the optional default-home-app setting.
Launcher Shortcuts: Compatible telephone, messaging, browser, camera, and wallpaper-picker applications used only when you select the corresponding launcher shortcut or desktop-edit action.

B. Local Storage and Preferences

Launcher preferences and viewing data are stored locally on your device using local databases and preferences:

Launcher Layout Preferences: Your home screen layout and shortcut preferences are saved locally.
User Favorites: Favorite dramas are saved locally so you can access them later.
Watch and Play History: Drama viewing progress and history are saved locally so you can resume playback.
Search History: Your recent drama search keywords are saved locally on your device only and are not uploaded to our analytics servers.
Episode Unlock Status: Rewarded-ad unlock status is saved locally so you do not need to unlock the same episode part again on the same device.
Notification Preferences: Reminder preferences and reminder frequency counters are saved locally to control drama reminder notifications. If you enable reminders, the App may request notification permission and schedule local reminder jobs. System task schedulers may use device reboot events to reschedule those local reminder jobs.
Optional Notification Access (for launcher badges): To show notification dots or badges on home-screen app icons, the App may ask you to enable Android Notification Listener / notification access in system settings. If you grant this optional access, the App reads only the package name of the app that posted or removed a notification, and keeps a local in-memory badge flag for launcher UI. Notification titles, message bodies, and other notification content are not stored by DramaRush for this feature, are not uploaded to our servers, and are not used for advertising, analytics, or profiling. You can deny or later revoke this access in your device settings; the App continues to work without badge dots.
Optional Default Home App: Setting DramaRush as your default home app is optional. You may skip this step and continue using the App without changing your device home app.
Data Deletion: You may delete local favorites, launcher preferences, and watch history by clearing the app's data through your device system settings (Settings > Apps > DramaRush > Storage & cache > Clear storage / Clear data). DramaRush disables Android Auto Backup for its app data.

C. Privacy Commitments

Installed application information is processed locally on your device.
We do not upload your installed application list to our servers.
We do not share or sell your installed application list to advertisers, analytics providers, or other third parties.
We do not use your installed application list for advertising, profiling, or behavioral analysis.
Optional notification access, if enabled, is used only to display local launcher badge indicators based on notification package names. We do not upload notification content or badge state to our servers, and we do not use notification access for advertising or behavioral analysis.

2.3 Advertising and Attribution Information

To support the free operation of the App, we may show ads and measure ad performance. Advertising, mediation, and attribution partners may process limited technical information, such as advertising identifiers, Android Privacy Sandbox / AdServices signals where available, IP address, device information, app interaction events, install referrer information, ad impressions, clicks, ad requests, ad revenue events, attribution signals, and fraud-prevention signals, subject to their own privacy policies and platform rules.

Depending on your region, device settings, ad availability, and our remote configuration, ads may be served directly by Google AdMob or by different advertising partners through AppLovin MAX mediation. These partners may use the information described above to deliver, limit, personalize, measure, and secure ads where permitted by applicable law.

Attribution measurement uses the Google Play Install Referrer API to understand which campaign or channel led to the App's installation.

Advertising privacy and personalization choices are managed through the settings and controls supplied by your device, Google Play, and the applicable advertising platform where available. DramaRush does not provide a separate in-app advertising-consent form. Ads may be limited or unavailable depending on the applicable platform settings, law, region, and partner configuration.

2.4 Information We Do Not Collect

DramaRush does not request camera, contacts, phone, SMS, precise location, or external storage permissions. We do not collect your phone number, IMEI, contact list, photos, files, precise GPS location, or payment information. Dock shortcuts such as phone, messaging, or camera only open the compatible system or third-party apps on your device; DramaRush itself does not access your call history, SMS content, camera capture, or microphone audio.

DramaRush does not require account registration or login. We do not collect your name, email address, or other account credentials, and we do not collect financial, health, or biometric information. All content can be used without creating an account, so there is no user account to delete; device-side data can be removed as described in Section 2.2, and identifier-related requests can be sent to the contact email in Section 11.

3. How We Use Information

Providing launcher, app drawer, search, shortcut, and short drama content features.
Personalizing and improving drama content recommendations and app experience.
Measuring app usage, stability, performance, and feature effectiveness.
Showing, limiting, and measuring ads.
Measuring install sources, campaign performance, and attribution.
Detecting, preventing, and addressing fraud, abuse, security issues, and technical problems.
Authenticating and securing short drama API access through our gateway services.
Responding to user support and privacy requests.

4. Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information. We may work with trusted third-party service providers that help us operate, analyze, advertise, attribute, and improve the App.

The App may integrate the following services:

DramaRush Analytics (our own first-party analytics service): custom in-app feature tracking, user engagement optimization, and app performance diagnostics. This service processes pseudonymized technical metrics (such as anonymous device/install/session identifiers, brand, model, operating system, language, network type, and app interaction events) to support content optimization, personalization, and platform stability. No personally identifiable details (such as names, emails, or phone numbers) are collected.
Short drama content providers, API services, hosting, and CDN partners: Drama catalog and playback-related API requests may be routed through our own servers (DramaRush gateway) before being fulfilled by licensed content providers and CDN partners. The short drama catalog, category and episode metadata, cover images, and video streams shown in DramaRush are supplied through licensed third-party content sources and related hosting and delivery services; video playback itself is performed locally by the App's built-in player. When the App requests content or streams video, these providers may process technical request data such as IP address, app package, app version, language, requested content identifiers, and device/network information needed to provide, secure, and improve the content service. DramaRush does not allow users to upload public short drama videos or other user-generated public video content.

These third-party services may collect and process information according to their own privacy policies. We do not provide the launcher-generated installed app list to advertising, attribution, analytics, or content partners. Third-party SDKs may perform their own limited package visibility, install referrer, advertising, measurement, fraud-prevention, or platform service checks where permitted by Google Play policies and applicable law.

Some integrated advertising and mediation SDKs (such as AppLovin, Meta Audience Network, Pangle, Unity Ads, Vungle, and Mintegral) may use standard optimization techniques, including sandboxed dynamic module loading within their own SDK environment, to deliver, render, and secure ads. These techniques are used only for legitimate advertising and platform functionality in compliance with Google Play policies, and are not used to bypass permissions or platform requirements.

5. Data Sharing

We may share limited information with service providers only as needed to operate the App, provide content, deliver and measure ads, analyze app performance, attribute installs, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

In summary:

Data sent to our own analytics service (DramaRush Analytics) is collected by us and is not shared with, or sold to, other companies for their own purposes.
Advertising identifiers and related technical signals may be shared with advertising, mediation, and attribution partners listed in Section 4 to deliver and measure ads and attribute installs.
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of our users, our services, or the public.
If we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or an updated notice.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define certain personalized advertising or measurement activities as "sharing" or "targeted advertising"; where required, applicable choices are handled through device settings, platform controls, or partner mechanisms.

We do not share your installed app list.

We do not use your installed app list for advertising or analytics.

6. Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, including encrypted transmission where applicable.

We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

Request access to the personal information we process about you.
Request correction or deletion of your personal information.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Control advertising identifiers and ad personalization through your device settings.
Reset or delete your advertising ID, limit ad personalization, or manage ad privacy settings through your device and Google Play settings where available.
Disable drama reminder notifications through the App where available or through your device system notification settings.
Revoke optional notification access used for launcher badge dots through your device system settings (for example, Settings > Apps > Special app access > Notification access), which stops badge updates based on notifications.

We aim to respond to valid requests within 30 days, unless a different period is required by applicable law.

7.1 Managing Launcher Settings and Uninstalling the App

If DramaRush is set as your default home app, you can switch back to another launcher at any time through your device settings (Settings > Apps > Default apps > Home app). You can also open the Help section inside DramaRush and tap the option for switching back to your original home screen.

You may uninstall DramaRush through Google Play or your device system settings (Settings > Apps > DramaRush > Uninstall). If your device requires another home app before uninstalling a launcher, first select a different default home app, then uninstall DramaRush.

8. Children's Privacy

DramaRush is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Users between 13 and 18 should use the App only with parental or guardian consent where required by applicable law.

9. International Data Processing

Your information may be processed in countries or regions outside your country of residence by us or our service providers. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such processing, such as standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent legal mechanisms.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, legal requirements, or platform policies. If we make material changes, we will provide appropriate notice within the App or by other reasonable means.
